We carry pre-loved and new books! We strive to ensure our used books are only what we consider "Very Good" or better quality! (Some books may have a bit more history and love though!)

Additionally, we also carry a variety of bookish goods that go well with our novels! This includes anything from stickers, bookmarks, and more! (We are gradually obtaining more sidelines, too, to bolster your book loving purchases!!)

Lastly, we also carry Blind Books & Blind Book Bundles for those wanting a little mystery in their lives!

A variety of places! Our books are almost always used & pre-loved to some capacity!

We will visit book fairs, thrift stores, and library sales for the bulk! We also accept donations of books from friends, family, and anyone wanting to get rid of some of their titles.

A few rare books may even come from the Owner's personal shelves!

Because of this, we always have a fun array of books to choose from!

Well, truth be told, it's cause they're what we like to talk about! When working at their local Barnes & Noble, the Owner focused primarily on the speculative fiction sections! It's what they read most of the time and it's what they know the most about!

While being a general bookstore would reach a broader audience, we're much more inclined to focus our efforts on what we know we're good at instead.

Books are shades of gray most of the time! While our specialty is speculative fiction (fantasy, horror, romance, science fiction specifically), there are books who will be cross-genre!

A great example are books who may dabble into "Historical Fiction," "Mystery," or "Thriller!" We try to cater to as many people as we can while also staying true to our mission and goals.

This is also why our store categories are by age, rather than by genre! It keeps the website clean and allows customers to refine the genres they're most interested in via available filters!

Sort've! Lorebound is affiliated with Bookshop.org, Libro.fm, and (eventually!) Rakuten Kobo! These are three brilliant resources to utilize if you'd still like to support LB but want something we don't have on hand!

Sure! While we cannot guarantee the book will be added to our shelves, we are always more than happy to accept suggestions of titles that might be otherwise popular!

The beauty of being a primarily used bookstore means that our inventory will continue to shift and change based on the treasures we find or are donated to us!

While there may be some rare repeat books, we cannot guarantee it! As such, if there's an item you're interested in, better go ahead and snatch it before another rogue does!

Are you referring to authors that are more problematic than others?

Well, unfortunately, while we do our best to curate our books, LB is also a business. Some popular authors have been known to have unsavory opinions or done unsavory things.

Truth be told, while some of our inventory is sourced from a variety of suppliers, many of our books are also donated. We cannot, in good faith, turn away someone being generous enough to support us when a book matches a genre that we carry and that we, as a store, know is popular.

Eventually, we hope to be in a spot where we can turn away these particular authors and remain in good standing.

That being said, for certain books, the profits made from them will be donated to appropriate charities such as Rainbow Railroad, GLAAD, The Human Rights Campaign, ACLU, Planned Parenthood, Trans Lifeline, RAINN, etc.

We are! LB functions out of the Owner's household, and while we are a smoke-free home, we are pet friendly! While our resident dog and cat are not allowed in our workspace, we cannot guarantee that their hair doesn't somehow find its way into every hidden crevice we can't see!

You can find LB at vendor and pop-up events primarily in the Cincinnati and Columbus, OH areas! Any events we attend will be posted and documented on our social media platforms!

Glad you asked! We try to ship any orders out as soon as receive the notification, but life can have delays! In general, we aim for 3-5 business days to have your item packaged up and off to the mail carrier!

We do not, unfortunately, ship internationally at this time!

We do accept returns with 30 days with proof of receipt and delivery! We will request information on why you're wanting to return your items so we can make note of it or fix it for the future!
